"Concerto and Rhapsody"

Joseph Ashley: Harmonica Soloist With orchestra conducted by Co Nguyen. Alexander Tcherepnin composed the harmonica concerto in august to november 1953, and he considered it a concerto in classical form and with the dimensions of a classical synphony. He remarked "I have taken the harmonica quite seriously with no attitude of writing down to it and while composing the Concerto I had all the time in my mind the unusual sound and technique of the instrument."
